On November 3, 2016, Dr. Cohn conducted a lab at OSU College of Veterinary Medicine on feline-friendly handling and physical exam techniques. She was asked to lead the session by the OSU Feline Club and OSU Shelter Medicine Club. About 25 students attended and watched Dr. Cohn demonstrate handling cats and how to perform a physical exam. The students then split into small groups with a cooperative cat to practice the techniques Dr. Cohn had taught. Teddy, one of Dr. Cohn’s cats, and C.J., Purrfect Care’s office kitten, were among the cats who “volunteered” for the job. Lots of treats and attention were their salaries for their duties.
